A screen enclosure reset for a returning owner.
Season-long dust and pollen had settled into the mesh until the view out of the room read as grey. The panel was washed by hand, the frame detailed, and the enclosure handed back before the owners arrived.
The challenge
The enclosure sits under a covered porch with planting on two sides. Airborne debris collects on the mesh and stays there, and the room reads as dull even when the floor and furniture are clean. The screening was intact but old enough that pressure was not an option.
The assessment
Mesh type and tension checked panel by panel, spline condition noted, frame corners inspected for movement, and the interior side confirmed as in scope. Two panels were flagged as fragile before any water touched them.

Constraints
No pressure anywhere near the mesh. Planting pre-wetted. Interior furniture stayed in place, so runoff had to be directed away from the threshold.
The result
The view out is the only proof that matters.
The mesh reads as transparent again from inside the room and the frame no longer shows a tide line. Nothing was restored and nothing was replaced. The screening is the same age it was; it is simply clean.
Care recommendation
Twice a year for a shaded enclosure with planting on two sides, timed ahead of arrival. Pollen season is the one that decides the cadence.
